Passenger is a partnership between producers Felicity Letcher and Rachel Lorimer to make urban, contemporary, and entertaining films and theatre productions in the genre of character-driven drama, in which comedy plays a strong role.  Developing long term partnerships with creative collaborators is a key part of Passenger’s ethos.

Felicity Letcher
Producer, Company Director

Felicity’s 13-year career in the film and television industry includes production work on feature films The Vertical Limit, Rain, The Extreme Team, The Legend of Johnny Lingo, and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and television series Lawless and Power Rangers.  Felicity has worked as a producer for theatre, including My Brother And I Are Porn Stars, From India With Love, The Atrocity, and The Mercy Seat; a production manager for commercials; and an accountant and company administrator.  Felicity is a performing arts advisor for Auckland City Council and, with her husband, runs Main Reactor, a props, models and effects workshop with credits that include The Last Samuri and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.  Felicity has a BA in English and a postgraduate diploma in Drama.  She recently produced Michael Parmenter’s dance work TENT.

Rachel Lorimer
Producer, Publicist, Company Director

Rachel is a freelance publicist and producer.  She worked as a film and television publicist for the past six years at South Pacific Pictures and Television New Zealand, where she was Senior Publicist for News, Current Affairs and Sport.  Rachel’s drama credits as a publicist include feature films Sione’s Wedding and Rain, and television series Shortland Street, Kidnapped, and Outrageous Fortune.  Rachel has also worked as a marketing and publicity consultant for theatre companies Taki Rua Productions, Indian Ink Theatre Company, The New Zealand Actor’s Company, Auckland Theatre Company, and for Penguin Books.  Rachel has a BA in English and a PhD in Chemisty and taught at Auckland University’s School of Medicine before following her interest in New Zealand storytelling into the creative industries.  She is currently publicist for Auckland Festival 2009.
